I enjoyed this book. Living in the World It also complements other sources on the yoga sutras with practical recommendations for tailoring practice to an individual. He spoke of yoga as an important means for reaching that goal called advaita. How it should happen is through the constant teaching of that which will be relevant to the student.

This is one of the best books I have read on Yog. Some will appreciate that the sutras are written in Sanskrit, a Romanized phonetical Sanskrit, and in English. I’m not sure I’m quite ready to incorporate all of it into my practice and some of it I might neverbut the parts that I have, have made a difference already.

Desikachar lived and studied with his father until Krishnamacharya’s death in Iyengar, who recently passed away, popularized the use of props blocks, straps, bolsters, etc.

I really believe that when you have a need, and articulate it, the right thing would come your way.
